Global Anti-Militarist Webinar | NO TO NATO | 04.04.2026

On 4 April 2026, the NO TO NATO initiative held the Global Anti-Militarist Webinar to build a united international response to the 2026 NATO Summit. The webinar brought together progressive forces from Turkey and around the world who oppose war, militarisation, and NATO.

NATO, with 32 members, 30 of which are in Europe, will meet in Turkey in July 2026, and it will be the first summit where all members increase their “defense spending” by an average of two times the amount, bringing it to 5%. The NATO Summit in Turkey is a summit to implement the war budget, and we cannot remain silent about this.

The NO TO NATO initiative calls on progressive people around the world to oppose NATO's war budget: Let's meet in Turkey in July 2026 at the People's Summit against the NATO Summit to end military pacts, the use of military force, and the support of states like Israel that use military force in violation of international law.
